Yay for insulation!

treeskinWe still haven't turned the furnace on. Even though the nights are getting into the 30's, sun on the house during the day is keeping it steady at 65. So yeah, the contractor business has been a comedy of errors, but it's totally worth it on the utility bill.
Salvage Guy was back bright and early, with his 15-yr-old son in tow. (The boy's out for 2 days for fall break, so no guilt there.) This is great, the kid's a better worker than any of the adults SG's brought out.
After going over the rest of Tuesday's work, SG is really pissed at that crew, and probably won't be brining any of them back. Which is another cheerful thought.
Must make more oatmeal, and more oatmeal bread today. There's less than a quarter of last night's loaf left.
Have spent the past two evenings working on an old, old project. I just figured out that open office has a feature that will finally let me compile and organize the monstrosity that started out as my herb notebook. I've tried and abandoned several formats over the past *mumble* years, and I'm thrilled to find something that could make it finally useable.
