In non-crafty news...

treeskinThe Boychild has learned two new tricks this week. He can now put his own shoes on, usually on the appropriate feet even(!), and he has learned to push the toy car up against the kitchen counter and stand on it to increase his reach.
He's still not graceful or quick at donning the shoes, so each time he succeeds, he clomps up and down the house smiling at himself. It's pretty funny. The Miss is so superior about it, but then, she learned that trick ages ago (to her).
The standing-on-the-car trick has kept me on my toes for a few days. He's quite determined to explore everything he can possibly reach, and I've had to patrol the kitchen when he's awake and playing, just to keep him from hurting himself. It's like having a big cat with thumbs, trying to climb the kitchen.
