Stuck in the shop again

Because the ground guy who usually does this isn't here. Again. Third day in a row. Grrrr. I'm here until 9 (if the people picking up keys are on time), then I can start my usual day stuff, only 3 hrs late.

Only got a little done on the wedding temari last night. I ended up IM'ing people whle waitig for some pics from By's dad to download; by the time the pics were loaded, I had four people on IM and lost track of time. Oh, well. I'll have plenty of time to work on it tonight and this weekend, too.

By didn't get home until 9 last night, after a 13-hr day. He's expecting tonight to be longer, since he'll have to man the Plaza booth until close tonight, then put things away, etc. It's really a bummer that one of his busy weeks happens to coincide with a week when I really want to cuddle and spend quality time with him.

ooh! - after you logged off, i found a lovely round chopstick in the kitchen drawer and tried that as a core (lost patience with the spaghetti fairly quickly). the cord looked very odd in progress, but when i pulled the chopstick out, it ended up looking like a very complex lacy crochet chain. one of these days i'm going to have to get a digital camera so i can send pics of my string frustrations/discoveries. string doesn't translate into words very well.

re-reading the above, it occurs to me that anyone but you is going to have NO CLUE what i'm talking about...

That cord sounds like it'd be useful as a decorative couched trim for later-period stuff. hafta try that sometime.

And don't worry about confusing people, it's good for them.
