Almost ready
Jun. 6th, 2003 07:22 amI'm mostly packed, just waiting on a few things in the dryer. I plan to leave about 9am--if only so I can call my sister and wake her up *grin*
I'm torn about what projects to take to work on, small ones, definitely, since I'll be spending some time in Mom's hospital room, but I may be there a week or more, so.....I've packed Ranj's socks, and a bit of yarn to do some simple, coarse-gauge socks for myself, and three pair of mostly-done socks whose ends need woven in, and a bag of temari stuff. To quote By, "You'd better take whatever you think you'll want, because you'll be a long ways away from things to do if you run out." Too true. So, I've also packed one of my large floss boxes, with the intent of disentangling the mess. Oh, and I also packed the half-done baby afghan for Courtney--it only needs about 3 hrs of knitting to finish.
Didn't get as much planted last night as I hoped, but I did do a quick clean-out on the bed below the deck, and the climbing melons (Vert Grimmpant and Plum Granny--fragrant and showy but supposedly not worth trying to eat) are seeded, and I got all the cannas planted. Finally. Donna sent a chunk of lotus root home with me last night, so that's ensconced in one whiskey barrel, and the two water lilies have been rescued from their bucket and potted. And there's a trash bag in my trunk, full of amur honeysuckle seedlings. Mom gets a new hedge next week.
