I've been trying to ocme up with one, but I can't think of anything that counts as a "favorite".

We'd met, casually, in the local SCA, in fall of 1990. I'd ended up dating a couple of other guys, in sequence. When I dumped the latest one, Fuzzy, in March of 1991, he sent By to my dorm room to talk some sense into me. A couple of conversations later, we were fairly well attached. Fuzzy didn't say much to either of us for a year or two after that.
