I offer for your amusement this pattern, from the current issue of Knit1. It's one of those "young and hip" knitting mags that are popping up lately (Translate "young and hip" to "it'll be sooo out of fashion by the time you finish knitting it that you don't dare wear it, but you'll look very cool while you're knitting it".) Most of the mag's offerings did not impress me in the slightest, but this....were I wealthy enough to buy that much novelty yarn, and did I have enough time to spend on somethign large and silly, I might knit that. It'd be fun on the sofa.

Date: 2005-12-20 02:43 pm (UTC)Have you seen that issue of the magazine? I wanna know who they think is going to wear that stuff, especially the menswear. I'm sorry, most of the guys I know, gay or straight, have better taste.
Heck, that was my opinion of everything but Interweave Knits this winter. Spent 20 minutes at the magazine rack last night, paging through stuff wondering what in the world the editors were thinking.
