Apparently, I offended several of MC's herbaceous stuents this afternoon, and really pissed off J'nee. Do I care? Nope.

The students kept getting in my way while they meandered through the greenhouse in their lab (if I stpe on you while I'm trying to carry things, you should have moved), and I never said anything nasty, just "excuse me, I need through." Donna said she doesn't care, we're not here to babysit people's egos.

Which is how I pissed J'nee off today. I'm sorry, she's work study, she's not here to do "fun" things, she's here as a a grunt. Yes, the other workstudy person gets to do fun things, but he knows enough to do so unsupervised. She's about as bright as she looks* (which is on the low side average for the mid-30s trailer-park white trash that she is), and not much more use. So she gets to sweep floors, and do other cruddy things that we just don't have time for. I shouldn't have to tell the bitch three times to go sweep the floors. I REALLY shouldn't have to spend the rest of her work shift putting up with the attitude while she does it, either.

But I had the sense to pack my chocolate for the ride home (and I have extra chocolate that a kind someone brought me), and I'm going to have another Coke. (Which waaayyyy overshoots my ration for the day, but it's been a long day, and my mood will be so much better if I indulge a little.) Those will make the end of the day brighter.

*About as bright as she looks = not smart enough to wear real shoes to work in. She keeps trying to wear these awful little barely there sandals, very Walmart summer selection, with her 3-inches-too-short and not-baggy-enough sweatpants and crappy t-shirts. And then bithced horribly about how she couldn't possibly work outside today, because she kept stubbing her toes and getting scratched by the mulch she was supposed to be spreading. Such a class act.

**snickers**

Having spent the past 4 Tuesdays grading papers, I can appreciate that. I, however, am not teachign the class, so I just get the joy of marking things wrong wrong wrong, without having to listen to them squeek about the material simply being too difficult.

Speaking of squeeking, about half my day yesterday was setting up for an 80-plant ID test. I was Not Nice. Not as bad as the ones I used to get at KSU, but more difficult than they're used to. I'm waiting for Donna to get here and tell me how it went :)
