But we got sidetracked. First, onto some websites selling some really tempting crack gladiolus. Oooooo, shiny plants. Anyway...then we got sidetracked (well, it's kinda work-related, so maybe it's ok) onto KSU's graduate programs in hort. Intimidating. But...I remember some of the bright pennies going through the program when we were in the undergrad program, so it can't be as bad as it sounds. And Dr S is going to help us, so...the hardest part is likely to be settling down into a program of study.

AND!!! This afternoon I sent in my application for Adjunct Assistant Professor to teach landscape design. **deep breath** The boss said I had to, and he was excited about my teaching it, so I expect the "interview" will be a formality.

I'd never expected to end up teaching, when I got out of school.

Who better to learn about plants and gardening than from a hobbit?

What? I thought Rosie Cotton was Hot in the movies....

And I am not the one who makes mention of it regularly... shall I go find links and point you to the offending party?

And is not a hobbit reputed to be of close kin to the earth with a healthy respect for all that grows upon it? Who enjoys garneding as almost a base pleasure? Who can think of no better way to spend an pleasant afternoon than to be tending to his or her garden with loving care?
