Little bit of randomness

I'd half expected to have drama on my desk when I got here this morning.
taran_stone posted a lovely translation of a Latin prayer (here), which I hand copied and pinned to the board over my desk. Given the general craziness of the housekeeper assigned to this building, I'd rather expected to come in and find the piece shredded, and a nasty note on top of the pile. And yes, she was in last night--the floor's not been swept (for days, I think), but my trash can was empty and in the wrong place again.
Anyway...while I'm relieved that she didn't mess with it, I'm also a bit disappointed. At the risk of sounding petty, we're not likely to be rid of her any time soon through normal channels, and another complaint about messing with people's desks, coupled with religious harassment, would have done it.
Ah well. Maybe later. I have other things I want to pin up on the wall. Some aren't that subtle.
Hmmmm...just had a thought. It's entirely possible the housekeeper didn't notice it because she can't read well enough to understand what it says. I copied it in cursive, after all. (That's not as mean a thing to say as it sounds. I've seen her handwriting and her spelling, both of which look more appropriate for a 5-yr-old, than a 50+ yr woman.)
