Spent yesterday trying to stay awake. Failed miserably when I got home--I fell asleep on the sofa halfway through my dinner. Managed to wake up enough to finish dinner, shed the blanket of cats, and shower, all before 9pm. Enjoyed a pleasant phone date, called By at 11 to see how much longer he was going to be at the studio, and crashed. I have no idea what time he got home, I don't remember him coming to bed.

The half-finished tiara was on the counter this morning, though, and it looks fantastic. I think he's going to finish the rest of the work on it at home this evening. If memory serves, delivery was supposed to be this weekend.

There was a scrape-able frost on my windshield this morning, though the garden looked ok. I've got to dig the key lime tonight, toss it in a bucket or something, and bring it in to work tomorrow morning. The rosemaries will be ok for a few more weeks, which is good. I'd like to see us get some of the bugs under control in the greenhouse before I bring in something that WILL get buggy given half a chance.

Next to no knitting to report the past couple of nights. Just too tired.

But how are you this morning? It sounds like you got slighly caught up on sleep, so are you back to controlling hte caffiene today?

Better on the caffiene this morning...I just opened my second one with my lunch. I'll probably have 3 today, because I'll need the extra boost for the post-work gardening and other things that HAVE to be done tonight.

I'm going to push myself hard this weekend, to not spend the whole time at fest drinking soda rather than water.

really?

So if I see you drinking a coke, should I knock it out of your hand?

yeah...THAT would be a good idea ;)

A much better tactic to use is to make eye contact, raise an eyebrow and look pointedly at the offending drink. This way it is left up to her to decided if the offending drink is to be finished. ;-)

So far when we make eye contact, soft drinks have not been what we had in mind.

But I'll give it a shot :)

I also want to avoid WEARING said sticky substance.
Some sticky substances are just fine, but not Coke.

Another option is to mention that someone will just have to volunteer themselves to wear the extra caffiene out of her system. I have NO clue where you might find someone willing to brave that... It is a very taxing job after all, and not for the faint hearted. ;-)

On another weekend this would be a FABulous idea...

On Highland Games Weekend, putting on a show for 8 hours of Scottish Heavy Athletics kinda takes the wind right out of the sails of one's libido...

But there's always time to test the caffiene depletion theory later.

I wonder how this feels...having 2 people talk about you on your own journal?
Tee hee

Well, I am sure I will be getting the usual speech later on about being No. Help. and that people up there do NOT need my encouragement.
But, It's too much fun to resist.

And as I recall, she is able to make tired aching bodies forget ALL about how tired they are if she really wants to. ;-)

I have no doubt.

In fact I'm counting on it; just not this weekend. :)

You're No. Help. twice over...both for yourself, and for giving him ideas.

It's not that different from By and Tristan talking about me at home. But here, I get to save the text as evidence to use against them :)

A gentle reminder that there were other beverages available would be effective. Really.

I'm not sure there's any ideas I haven't come up with on my own, but hey; I'm always open to suggestion ;)
