Sock and UnSock Reports

The Sock Report: I have managed to finish both heels, and start one ankle on T's kilt hose (Monday afternoon knitting). Am hoping for quality time with my string at Tara.
I started, frogged, and restarted the second feather and fan sock. I'm actually trying to get the self-striping bits to line up, which means unwinding enough off the ball to get to the right color set, and then hoping I can pick somewhere close to the right spot in that section to start the second sock.
The UnSock Report: Stress pushed me to start a new project Tuesday evening. Just couldn't help it, just couldn't concentrate on anything I had going. The leftover silk handspun yarn (the stuff I got at Sedalia last summer) and a bit of wool singles are becoming the Ene scarf, from Scarf Styles. It's a triangular large-scarf/small-shawl lacy thing, meant to be knit on #6's with two strands of a silk-blend lace yarn (so, maybe dk weight, total). Mine will be a bit bigger, because the two yarns I'm using are almost worsted weight, and I'm knitting it on #11's for drape. The "cast on 375 sts" part was just the mind-numbing chore I needed Tuesday night. I've got 4 rows done so far, but with that many sts, that's not too bad. Might pack it along, just so I have one non-sock project with me.
