Not much more to add about yesterday. It was hot, I was itchy and grumpy, and I watered trees. By got home earlier than I'd expected him, because Robyn let him bring the trailer home after loading tstuff, rather than try to find a way to park that thing in the lot by their building. The evening's load was just the rest of the stone we'd left in Albert's storage unit, months ago. (Albert is trying to clean that thing out, so he doesn't have to pay rent on it anymore. Which means some deals for materials and tools may be in the offing.)

By got his birthday present from his folks last night, and of course opened it early. (Have to make sure it travelled ok, right?) They got him a auto-darkening welding helmet, just what he wanted, and wouldn't go buy for himself. And the usual pile of Sunday comics, that his mom always throws in the box as extra padding--they've done that since he was in college. She also tucked in a sock monkey that she'd made, out of Grandpa Phillips' old socks, which was very sweet. (We'll put that in the ancestor shrine we plan to put in the living room, as we remodel, along with one of his old plaid jackets and the canoe paddles he carved.) And there was another ball of Opal sock yarn in the box, just to fill in the corner. (That's for me :) Although the socks I knit from it may be for By, it's a manly sort of color.

Will probably be watering trees again today. It didn't rain enough to get the road wet on the way in, and the radar doesn't show anything more significant on the way. Good thing, too--watering trees is about all I'm up to today.
