treeskinHeat and humidity chased all of us into shade mid-afternoon today. I hid in the shop for a while, basking in the hum of the window AC, then wandered over to another building to dig out plans for one of the newer buildings on campus, which never got landscpaed. Too uncomfortable out to do anything else.
Did spend a delightful hour pruning a linden tree today--in the shade, with a breeze blowing in the scent of clover, and smelling the linden in full bloom (a floral-honey note, I'd love to catch it in mead someday). Would have gone and done the others today, but my shoulders are stiff after that much work over my head.
Not sure if I get the house to myself tonight or not. By's talking about going to the drum jam that Irene's is hosting, if he's not to filthy and tired from work. Quiet might help me settle down and go to bed faster.
