I've always got a bad memory for the names of songs and artists, so I probably shouldn't be attempting this at this hour of the day, but here goes:

1. Anything by Djembe Kaan, who rocked the house at HPF 2005. West African style percussion, international troupe. Weee!

2. "Somebody to Love" by Queen, because I like singing along when I've got the car to myself.

3. Anything by Annuna, which is an a capella Irish group whose composer takes the texts of very old church music (and other stuff), and tries to recreate what it might have sounded like. Some of it's in Gaelic, some in Latin, and a little in English (if memory serves correctly).

4. "Mississippi Squirrel Revival" by Ray Stevens. A childhood favorite. (I know, I'm weird). The radio station in Salina that Mom listened to in the early-mid 80's used to play a Ray Stevens song every morning, between 7 and 7:30. What a wonderful way to wake up, as a kid.

5. "Unchained Melody" -- Righteous Brothers. My mom used to play this record (!) a lot when I was a kind; it's one of the things I learned to sing on.

6. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" -- The Tokens. Another thing I love to sing along with when I've got the car to myself.

Six people I'm tagging for this:
