treeskinAs is probably obvious from my last post, I was half-asleep when I typed that. Sorry 'bout the typos.
The day has not gotten better, I'm just more awake. Awake enough to realize it's colder than they were forecasting, and I hurt (probably why I'm awake, actually). Awake enough to muddle through a 9am meeting with Maintenance Director about yet more contractor BS....not sure it's my job to be doing this, but he keeps asking me to, so I do. That left me awake enough to type a proposal for Maintenance Director and Vice President, and that got me through until lunch.
Not sure what's on the agenda for the afternoon. Supposed to be planting my new trees (they came in Monday), but I can't do that until I get weedkiller sprayed where they're going, and that can't happen until it warms up and the wind stops. Maybe I'll go cut up the dead stuff I sent Courtney out to do yesterday, since she didn't get it done.
My schedule for next week is even more screwed up, after this morning's meeting. Now I get to come in to work on Monday, for the first of the meetings about landscaping the new buildings. And again on Tuesday, for the second meeting. So that leaves me with just one weekend day this coming weekend, and that will be completely eaten by the HSA meeting. Argh.

It's not even a mystery why Maintenance Director does this...he's a widower, with kids in college, and no life, and it's no big deal for him to rearrange his schedule to come in whenever. So obviously it's not big deal for his employees to do the same. Whatever. I'm SO wanting Donna's boss to get the second FT position pushed through over there; I'd love to tell the whole maintenance dept to kiss off.
