treeskinSneaking out early just became easier...New Boss was pacing in the shop, eyeing the clock, and muttering about how busy his evening was. So, opportunist that I am, I pointed out that (a) no one but me would notice if he left at 3:55, (b) someone has to stay and hand out keys at 4, which I can do easily, (c) nothing else is occuring between 3:55 and our official "end of day" at 4:30, and (d) I'm certainly not going to tell anyone official he left early. So, with a little more persuasion, out he went. Peace and quiet at last.
I have two trash bags of perennials out of Donna's garden in the car, plus a cardboard flat of Kentucky Colonel mint and orange-scented peppermint, with a few spirally chunks of wild garlic thrown in because I'm a sucker for funny-shaped plants. The mints and garlic are for the herb garden at camp, along with agastache; there's shasta daisies and two perennial salvias and a couple of black-eyed susans for the flower garden. Not a lot of stuff, considering, but a decent start. Oh, and there's a two-gal pot outside the shop door with a seedling wild rose in it...that's going home, to eventually take to my mom's and plant along the fence we're going to install for her. (If the fence won't stop the neighbors, this rose will. Ouch!)
