I got a little more sleep last night, which helps. Not as much as I needed, but better than yesterday.

By is finally on a plane headed home, after various southern adventures. He's supposed to hit KCI at 130.

It's rained all morning, starting just 15 minutes before Salvage Guy and his crew got here. (They turned around and made the long drive home again.)

The monsters are showing the effects of days cooped up in the house. Their latest escapade involved nabbing the compost bowl off the counter and crushing eggshells into the carpet and By's recliner. They *both* got put into The Bug's crib to do penance while I crawled around the floor picking bits of shell out of the carpet and furniture. (I'd hoped to wait to dump compost until a lull in the rain, or I'd have taken them out already.)

Braved the cold rain to dump compost in the barrel and check the rain gauge. 0.5" so far.

Guess I need to go let the monsters out of confinement.....

By's home, full of stories about the facility he visited and trained at. Brought me a coffee mug from New Orleans, and the kids got really bright tie-dyed t-shirts. Which is comical--kid's medium is oversized on The Miss, but hangs below The Bug's knees. Still raining. We're up to 0.75" as of 4:30pm. And more rain to come tonight.
