Good intentions, and all that

Had a boistrous line of storms run through last night--never enough wind to lose power completely, but it dipped enough to reboot the poor computer three times. Don't know how much rain we got at home; there was an inch in the rain gauge at work this morning. It rained all the way south to work, until I got to Hwy 10, then it petered off to drips here and there. We're supposed to get more this afternoon, last I heard. Monsoon season in Kansas.
The shop hold the fumes and smells from the equipment, but when I step outside, I can smell wet earth and lindens.
By got home in the worst of it, said it wasn't raining when he left the city, but there times coming home that he couldn't see the road. I'm always happier knowing that sort of thing after the fact. He's working part of the morning with Robyn, then off to help Albert tear down another building, because it's got materials in it Robyn needs for her barn and cabins. And the intern gets to help; By's most amused about that. He'll likely be home late tonight, and very very grubby.
Need to call Mom tonight, see how Grandma's surgery went. (She went in for eye surgery again--her cataract surgery from a two years ago still hasn't healed.)
Thanks to folks who offered suggestions on things to go into my new medicine bag. I appreciate them all.
