Nope. Darn. Another wonderful day in Oz. At least I didn't have to shovel sand this morning. Had that happened, I think I would have been obliged to hurt someone.

New Boss has admitted two days in a row that he dropped tha ball on something, and it's causing problems. First the sand thing, then with Turf Guy, who got shat upon by the Powers That Be because he put grass seed down on an area leater revealed to be still under construction (because New Boss is bad about communicating necessry information down to us peons). That's a fence that New Boss is going to have trouble mending, because Turf Guy had had a major problem with New Boss long before this.

Wonder if there's anything I can do so nudge the Powers That Be into hurrying up that full time job in the greenhouse.....

Too tired last night to do much. Didn't stay and help Donna in the greenhouse, because she was tired too. (I'll probably sneak over there this afternoon, she's supposed to be in to water.) Went home, piddled around on the computer, showered, started dinner just as By got home, and that's about it. Didn't get enough knitting done to bothering reporting.

By's all packed and headed up to camp for a day of woodbusting and firetender training (or so the plan is). I'll head up after work. I'm planning to spend tomorrow in the herb garden up there, cleaning and planting a bit. Hopefully some of the HSA folk who expressed interest in helping actually show up. Trying to decide if I should pack a bit of knitting, too, for this evening. Not sure how much I'll get done, but it'd be nice to have along. Have to start something new, though, all of my current projects are intricate and need good light.

Sneaking out early just became easier...New Boss was pacing in the shop, eyeing the clock, and muttering about how busy his evening was. So, opportunist that I am, I pointed out that (a) no one but me would notice if he left at 3:55, (b) someone has to stay and hand out keys at 4, which I can do easily, (c) nothing else is occuring between 3:55 and our official "end of day" at 4:30, and (d) I'm certainly not going to tell anyone official he left early. So, with a little more persuasion, out he went. Peace and quiet at last.

I have two trash bags of perennials out of Donna's garden in the car, plus a cardboard flat of Kentucky Colonel mint and orange-scented peppermint, with a few spirally chunks of wild garlic thrown in because I'm a sucker for funny-shaped plants. The mints and garlic are for the herb garden at camp, along with agastache; there's shasta daisies and two perennial salvias and a couple of black-eyed susans for the flower garden. Not a lot of stuff, considering, but a decent start. Oh, and there's a two-gal pot outside the shop door with a seedling wild rose in it...that's going home, to eventually take to my mom's and plant along the fence we're going to install for her. (If the fence won't stop the neighbors, this rose will. Ouch!)
