I'm sure you knew that already. classics_cat pinged me last night, wanting to go get a couple of things at Yarn Barn. Silly girl, of course I wanted to go--yesterday was the last day of their pre-inventory sale. Score!

So, five balls of Cascade Fixation (three blue, two black), one back issue of Cast-On, and 1200 yards of hand-painted mohair loop later, we decide to get before we did any more damage. (I am not a good friend, I talked her into getting some of the mohair loop too, but it was just the right color for her.) And, she bought my Yule present while we were there: a 4-oz cone of Jaeger-spun Zephyr (wool/silk laceweight) in a nice green. Ooooooo. That's 1100 yards or so, which will become another soft! shawl or something.

The Place Of Pilgrmmage is closed from today until Jan 2, so I am safe from further temptation, for that long.

Despite not quite finishing the Very Tall Socks, I started another project last night: Betty. That's the blue Cascade Fixation. Which, by the way, is an odd yarn to knit, the lycra in it makes it stretchy, so it stretches when other yarns would slide of the needles as you're making a stitch. The black Cascade Fixation is for By, for this. Nice, isn't it? And the fittings will be fun.
