A warning shot across the bow
Nov. 23rd, 2004 11:49 amWhile the 2004 election shook my faith in the public's capacity for rational thought, this and this have rendered me speechless. While the one elementary-school science teacher I know well (my mother) holds creationist strategies like intelligent design in no high regard, I have to wonder how many teachers do use those materials when they're provided, or even seek them out. It's no wonder our schools are in the state they are.

Accomplishments for the day
Nov. 23rd, 2004 08:16 pm1) Four loads of laundry.
2) Three of those loads are folded, the last is in the dryer.
3) 3/4's of the ends on the Tigger afghan are done. About 2 hours' worth of weaving to go.
4) Grocery list prepared, boys sent out for groceries.
5) Dinner ready and waiting for the boys to get back from the store.
6) Dealt with Sis's angsty phone call (no, her hub didn't do it this time).
