This is the universe, shitting on my head

First, I haven't really had a relaxing weekend since, oh, March. So I most sincerely did not want to go to work today. ( It went downhill from there. )

And on top of all that, Mom told me tonight that because of the No Child Left Behind Act, she is no longer a qualified teacher. (?!?!??!) Apparently, despite her master's degree in elementary ed, because she doesn't have a "specialty" in any of the subjects she's teaching (which I guess amounts to a minor in science, or math, etc), she's not qualified. The mind boggles.

Ah. By just got home. The world is better.
