Excuse me?

No ma'am, I am not going to squeegee the tennis courts while it's still raining. Yes, it's still raining...look out the window. If the coach wants to play tennis so badly this morning, let him squeegee the tennis courts.

Cold, damp, and unmotivated

It's rained just enough this morning to derail most of the activites I had planned for today. So, I've spent the past 90 minutes outside, in the drizzle, cleaning the 25-gal spray tank. Woop-de-do. Cleaning the spray tank means filling it half-full with water and tank cleaner, then spraying out that solution onto the pavement, adding more water, spraying again, rinsing the empty tank, then partially filling with clean water and spraying a few gallons out to rinse the pump and spray wand. I amuse myself by drawing pictures with the stream from the spray wand......it's that exciting. But necessary. One of the herbicides I use will really gum up the pump if it sits in there too long, and the other is just corrosive enough to be a problem if it sits too long (which is about a week in both cases).

Went to jdoryt's place last night for her Friday potluck...met some neat people, sme of whom I've seen on lj. Hi neat people! It's nice to have faces to put with names. Didn't stay for the games, by 8pm I was starting to nod off. So, away we went, just as the fun started....hopefully, nexxt month will be less busy at work for me, and I won't be so run down. I was in bed by 9, and By said he fell asleep in his chair about 9:30 (although he was under the influence of two cats, so that may not count).

Need to call my sister tonight, see how her tests came out. It'd be nice to know, and be able to stop worrying.

Tonight's agenda calls for something warm for dinner, lots of hot tea, and quality time with my bookbinding stuff. By said yesterday that Albert was leaving for his event on Thursday, so I need to have anything I want to send with him done by Tues night so By can deliver it on Wed.
