I can knit, or I can type. I've had the knitting bug something awful this week. Got about 2 full day's worth of knitting to finish the butterfly shawl, so it ought to be done sometime next week :) And, I'm up to 44 sts per section (8 sections, so that's 344 sts around) on the super spiral shawl, which is 2/3 of the way done in terms of rows (last row is 63 sts per section), but about half done in terms of time. Progress either way. The super spiral no longer looks like a big pile of cobwebs; you can actually see the pattern, which bodes well for its appearance after washing and blocking.

By's on the road today. He got some new tires on the truck last night, so he's off to Neosho, MO to pick up the log splitter and the tractor. Ended up having to go himself; if I'd known today was going to be a total wash at work, I would have called in sick. (But, I'm the only full-time grounds person here, so I kinda feel like I should be responsible and stay.)

Work's going to be all stirred up the next couple of weeks. One of our PT staff, D, is really pissed because the boss up the hill wants all the PT staff to work 5, 8-hr days this summer, probably Mon-Fri. They're used to working the 4 10-hr days of their choice. Anyway, he came in yesterday and bitched in my boss's general direction, mostly making his position worse. So, now, we all have to make sure that the essential things get done, not because he actually had something to bitch about, but because he might squawk loud enough to attract the attention of the boss up the hill. That would not be good.

Humans....can't live with 'em, can't shoot 'em.
