We got home about 7pm yesterday. Long drive, long weekend.....long day on less than 5 hrs of sleep. *grin* Monday night (Tues morning, whatever) was fun, though.

Rob spent most of the weekend sick, but it wasn't our fault this time (yay!). The decontamination worked; he was still fighting off a bad cold.

Got to see their wedding pics, which were pretty cute. She wore a dark green dress, to match his dress green uniform. Amazing what the people around them pulled together in just a day, to give them a nice wedding. Cake, flowers, the minister, the church, her dress and veil.....all arranged for less than a day.

The whirlpool suite was *really* nice. We'll have to do that again. The whirlpool wasn't big enough for all four of us, so we kept it filled and warmed up, and hopped in and out. Rob had brought a bunch of movies, which we could watch from the whirlpool. Mostly, we stayed in the room and talked and got caught up.

AND, I got to go yarn shopping twice!! First, on the way there, so I'd have cat-hair free yarn. (Just in case you're interested, it was pruple and black and white yarn for a pair of Turkish socks for Robyn.) Then, Muriel needed some double-pointed needles because she was trying to learn to knit on 14" needles, on a 4" swatch. So, we tracked down a yarn store there in Ames. Found "The Rose Tree Fiber Shop" near the college, which I highly recommend. It's owned by a talkative older gal who spins and weaves, but has a decent selection of knitting stuff too. Great selection of books. I didn't buy any yarn there, not for lack of temptation. But I got two books of knitted hats, wild things with lots of colors, a handy shoe size/sock size chart, and a book of traditional Latvian mittens (in both English and Latvian).

No new word from S; I may try to call him today and check on him.
