After this weekend
Feb. 12th, 2003 06:51 amI have two, count 'em folks, TWO handknit sweaters finished, all sewn up, neck trim on, everything. And they both fit!!! I'm very proud of myself.
Finished the knitting last night on the brown Turkish socks. Still need to weave in ends; I'll probably work on that during my lunch break. I need to decide on my next sock project now. Well, next two. I'll keep a set of needles open for those socks for my friend. But what do I want to make/wear next? The current choices are the fine-gauge cotton socks (a standard top-down pattern), and reproduction ankle-high Egyyptian style socks. (Amazing what you can find patterns for on the internet, isn't it?)
I did have time to clean in all this knitting flurry. Not a real wall-to-wall cleaning, but kitchen counters and bathrooms, at least.
All in all, a productive weekend.
By *still* doesn't know for sure if he's going to Baltimore. They're packing and planning as if they are--I'm half afraid that Robyn won't decide until Friday morning.
