For me, anyway. By may have to work tomorrow. He definitely has to work Mon & Tues next week.

By got home from work around 1am. He said this morning that the groupd renting the building last night was pretty good--they didn't make a mess, and they tidied up & took their own trash with them. It's nice to see something go hassle-free for them, this time of year. He's probably leaving to go back to work about now; the gallery is open today from 12-4, and they have pieces to finish before then.

Got to go home 30 minutes early yesterday. The power was off all over campus, and we just couldn't do anything. Had to arrange for one of the night crew to come close the garage door that was stuck half open when the power went. There is a way to manually close it, but that involves having the forklift inside, and room to manuever it--the forklift was stuck outside, and there was a van in the washbay, so we were screwed either way. Everything seems okay this morning, though, so no harm done.

Didn't get nearly as much knitting done last night as I'd hoped; I guess I did enough while I was at work, I just couldn't focus on it. But I am almost halfway around the edge on the white shawl. I really want to have that done by Tues, so I'll have a day to wash and block and photograph it before I give it away.

I'm knitting and listening to NPR Weekend Edition. The story--a cello players' group, mostly amateurs. The soundtrack--imagine a dozen or so cellos, playing Stars and Stripes Forever.
