Mini-vacation

treeskinThanks to the MLK hoilday, I get today off. Pretty cool, since it's supposed to snow later today. By had yesterday off, so we got to spend 3 whole days together. Ain't complaining.
Put the knitting down for a couple of days to do temari; I signed up for the exchange on the temari list, and I need to get a ball done to mail. That reminded me that I had a pile of materials waiting to be made into temari, so I spent much of yesterday winding balls. I think I've bruised my fingertips, holding on to the 1" balls to wind them with thread. I do know better than to do that all day. I need to sit down and wind balls more often, just a few at a time.
The sock report: I'm halfway up the leg of the second Turkish sock. Haven't picked up By's blue celtic knot socks in a while. Need to do that.
Must remember to clean the ice melt off my boots today. They'll probably get a healthy dose at work tomorrow.
