First, I got to meet the folks who run the Countryside Garden Center in Tongie. Nice people, sounds like their business starting holding its own this year, which is cool.
Second, the lady I tutored through Herbaceaous Ornamentals came and talked to me for a while. She's now working for the grounds crew at KSU, taking care of the flowerbeds at the President's House. And she's still very very proud of the B she got in that class. (
classics_cat, you may remember her. She was the gal that my mom and I diagnosed as dyslexic about a month into class....and you remember how important spelling was in that class.) I'm very glad to hear she's succeeding, and that I helped with that.
