I frogged it last night. With the edging, I had 8" done, and I frogged it. Started to, actually, then the thread got tangled and broke, and I said f**k it, and put the rest aside, pulled the cone of yarn comfortingly closer, and started over.
*sigh*
There was a reason for this, it isn't just the PMS madness that's trying to rage in my brain. I'm over 30 now, I've gotten good at appeasing that beast. Nothing exotic, a bit of sex, chocolate, soft yarn, and a couple of Laurell Hamilton books. Easy fix.
No, this was an honest-to-goodness, why-didn't-I-read-that-@#$@$-chart-closer-at-the-beginning mistake. Compounded several times already. And were it left alone, one of the top corners of the shawl would have cupped, or been stretched out of kilter to make it lay flat, and it simply Wasn't Right.
*sigh*
So, the current progress report on the lily of the valley shawl is 2" of the first side's edging done.
I'm going to go caffinate myself, and try not to think about it.

Date: 2004-07-24 08:34 am (UTC)This yarn's a bit fragile for that....I'd have to fetch something else from the stash if that's the game you want to play.
Immoral support, indeed. :)
