I've got 7 of the 9 trees in the grounds, along with achy arthritic knees and hips (cold, damp air = bad), and a pulled muscle in my back. Not fun. Told the supervisor in charge today that I'd manage through the day, but I'd be sick tomorrow and Sat. (If I use sick time to nurse my sore back, I don't have to hassle with filing a report and doing the workman's comp BS, and it's not that big a deal, it just hurts like heck when I move more than my fingers.)
I'm sitting down to lunch late today, too, because just as I was grabbing my lunch box Director of Facilities Planning calls me up to the Student Center for a meeting about where to place a memorial tree. "Somewhere else" was not the correct answer. Bother. And the people buying the tree only want to pay $70 for it. Cheapskates.
