It's been Monday's revenge all day.

Because of a note I left with the foreman last weekend, about one of the part time staff (hereafter referred to as PT's) padding his hours, we had a meeting with everyone on the Wed morning crew.

One of the PT's, D the Annoying, bulled into the meeting like it was his personal forum to bitch and complain, and so it ran for 1 hr 15 min, instead of the 15 min we expected it to take. No one respects him, he gets all the shit jobs (duh, that's what PT's are for), we don't trust him to do anything right, and I'm the Wicked Witch of the West. He actually stood up in the meeting and said that he didn't want to deal with me, and wouldn't take direction from me at all. Not that he ever has well, because I'm female and 35 yrs younger than this person, but gee whiz. How stupid can you be? I don't care what he thinks, but to say that in front of witnesses?

So, after lunch and a cooling off period, the foremand and I went up and had a talk with our supervisor about D. Supervisor says he will "talk to D.", and that PT's cannot pick and choose who they will or won't take direction from. We're all reeeaaally reeeaally hoping D will mouth off to Supervisor, and get himself fired tomorrow. We're all that sick of dealing with him.

For the record, D is well over 65, a fellow who retired from somewhere else and is using this job to supplement his income. But he spends as much time griping and being contrary as he does working. All of the full-time staff are afraid to say much of anything to him, because you never know when he'll turn around and bite you with it, either right then, or months down the line. And up until now, we've had no support up the ladder for getting rid of the guy, and we've tried. I really hope this does it.

So. I'm going to leave you alone now, and try to make up for the practicing I was too tired to do all last week. Which will probably not help my mood, because my hands still hurt form last week's snow removal.

Hugs?

Yes, they do, as does ricin (if I can find the recipe again), but I've already been informed that neither beating nor poisoning the bastard will improve our case if this has to go up the ladder to HR. Damn the luck.
