Let's see if this works......
Jan. 27th, 2004 09:30 amPuttered a bit yesterday, cleaned and put away some clutter, then worked on some of the cd books. AND!!! Got the pics scanned this morning, and online so I can (I hope) put them up so y'all can see what I'm talking about.
Basicly, the idea is to take a cd, cut it into quarters, do something nifty to the outsides of a pair of quarters, add circular pages (the same size as the original cd) which accordian-fold into quarters, and a bit of ribbon to act as hinge and tied closure.

This is one of the first books I did. The cover is a light blue textured paper, with a strip of the same paper in a metallic silver finish added. Water garden drawings inside.

Covered in a smooth off-white paper, then colored with a "fluid chalk" stamp pad, which gave that nice matte finish, plus strips of that same silver paper. Water garden drawings inside.

Same cover paper as above, only half the cover colored green, plus a bit of the blue textured paper and some gauzy gold ribbon (which took forever and a day to get stuck down). Leaf prints inside.

Heavy textured ivory paper, with colored pencil, then burnished; the darker stripe is heavier colored pencil. Stripe is same paper, rubbed with gold acrylic paint. Leaf prints inside.

Covered in eggshell parchment, plus pieces of textured purple paper; diamond is same ivory paper as above, rubbed with gold paint. Leaf prints.

Covered in textured purple paper, accented by trimmed leaf print. Will have leaf prints inside when done.

This is a fun cover. It's printer paper, that was used to catch overage when I was playing with my new stmaping pads, and decided later was too cool to throw away. Not sure what I'm going to put in this cover.
