So that's what we're doing. Slept in, started one of the movies By had fetched yesterday (Robin Hood--Men In Tights). By's starting a pot of chili for tonight; I'm taking a knitting break.

Had a nice visit with [livejournal.com profile] classics_cat yesterday. Talked for hours, knitted, gave her the Greco-Turkish Socks, talked some more.....

After she left, I finished scanning a bunch of drawings I'd done to use as pages for the cd books, and some of the full-page leaf prints that I thought were too nice as is to cut up. Printed off a bunch of stuff as pages for the books, and got three books bound. Have the cover cut (but not covered) for a fourth, and I have another trash cd, so I have cover material for 2 more books. And pages enough for 6 or 7. Will actually have to pick up the freebie AOL cds next time we're shopping.

Learned that the metallic gel pens give a nice color when scanned in and reprinted, but they loose that wonderful reflectiveness. And that I can glue paper to the cd, and ribbon to paper, but the glue I'm using doesn't like to stick ribbon directly to the cd.

Nearly finished with the second triangle for the Cleo halter top. I do think I'm going to switch to the slightly darker shade for the band under the chest.

Spent the morning working on the Lopi sweater. Almost to the first decrease in the yoke, which takes out 15% of the sts, I think. Ought to speed things up a bit.

Someone on my knitting list posted this link. I keep saying that there are people in the world who are much crazier than I am, and no one believes me.....

The gold used for illumination does the same thing. We color copied all of our award scrolls last year - to give a copy back to the scribe who did the work as a thank you. The gold work comes through a rich true gold, but no metallic shimmer.

Shadows and hightlights do loverly things to draw attention to loverly things. :-)

I ended up going over some of the gold color on the copies, for the shimmer, and leaving some, because the color worked as well. I may do a little more with the metallic inks on the copies, I just haven't decided yet. Easier to under-do and go back later, especialy after I've already glued the book together.

I found these darling little glittery, mostly transparent dragonfly stickers I may add to the copies on the water-garden drawings, too. We like glitter.
