Taking it easy tonight. Which involves a comfy nightgown, a couple episodes of Deep Space Nine, embroidery, and a small bottle of old spiced mead. Its label says I bottled it with the spices in October of 1994, which means it's at least a year older. Golden color, very clear, slight astringency from some of the spices, and a mellowness that only comes with years. To everyone who's ever told me that mead can't be aged more than a couple years, insert rude noise here. To the people who taught me to brew mead, and to always put some away and forget about it, I raise my glass.
