My husband has mad MacGyver skillz. Last nighht, he used silicon caulk and corn starch to make molding compound, to make duplicates of a Victorian piece for a client. He'd made several attempts with commercial casting compounds, without getting a good impression. This worked well, was cheaper, and could be done in the house with nothing more noxious than a slight vinegar odor. He's taking the mold to the client for approval tonight.

Have made some "responsible adult" progress this morning: some dishes, one load of laundry, most of the trash out. Am trying to come up with something besides the same old stuff with turkey for dinner.

And The Miss has stolen the dish towels out of the kitchen to use as flying carpets.
