Great-uncle Ellis died last night, after being hospitalized two days ago for pneumonia. I'm afraid I don't know how old he was, around 80 I think. He's one of Grandma's younger brothers, and he'd been very ill and very fragile for a couple of years now.
This leaves, out of the 16 siblings, just Grandma and Uncle Bud (the youngest, who is also in poor health). I think Ellis is the first one to die without having Grandma nurse him in his final months, and I think she's just as depressed as if she had. That, and watching all her sibs go on without her.
