Still cooking
Oct. 28th, 2003 10:35 amI've already got another batch of sugar-free pear butter in one slow cooker, a batch of the apple-kiwi honey (modified, since I'm out of kiwi) on the stove, and the first of the 5-gal buckets in the kitchen.
I have used up both of the 2-gal buckets of pears; 15 gallons to go. Yikes.
I plan to do one more batch of pear butter, without apple juice this time, and then start cleaning the kitchen for wine. Maybe some mead, too. I have more honey now. We'll see what I feel up to. It'd be nice to retake control of my kitchen from the mountains of fruit which are now running the show.
