That sounds very cool. I would love to learn some of this stuff. When we first bought this house I had all these fantasies about the gardens I would grow, and the flowers I would plant. the curved walkway out front just screams for flowers I think. The first year I did it, and then I realized that you can't just plant them and walk away, those suckers were a lot of work :)

Someday maybe I will try again.

Designed right, I bet I could do your front yard so it'd only need an hour or two a week, once established. But that's the rub...gotta spend the time getting it established.
