You're right, you should have taken yarn to work with you :)

I wish I could do it! :( Maybe over break I'll try to generate some squares.

I decided to put together the blocks I'd already done on the overdue baby afghan, and discovered that I have one about 3' square, so I'm sewing it together. I'll probably crochet a border on it afterward, which won't take all that long.

Cat, I'm only on 26, it will take about 4 to 6 months for the rest of us to catch up :)

I'm taking the summer off to. I keep thinking things will slow down for me "next month", but I have been saying that for the last six months, and it has not happened yet :) This is my last week of regular classes, then finals the week after that. Russ will be home on Wednesday, that will help a little. Then I can make squares over holiday break.

Well, I know things won't slow down any, but my original entirely insane plan had been to take classes over the summer to "catch up" or something stupid like that. Now my plan is to get a job and take a break over the summer, because going flat-out for 5 or more semesters at the graduate level (and I'm in a HARD program) is going to kill me. Yay for Mens Bona, however sera.

What are you studying? (Or did you tell me and I forgot? *blush*)

I'm in Victim / Survivor Services. Which is a fancy word for Social Work. What are you in grad school studying?

I'm sure you could, hon. And it's not like I don't have plenty of yarn for you to use. And patterns. And, given a bit of forewarning and a bribe or two, I could probably subsidize your production, if you don't have time to make enough.

Yeah, the other thing is that I'm pretty shy on stash. I have a fair amount of leftover baby yarn (destined to be an afghan for Karnythia, I think), and bits and bobs of novelty yarns and stuff, but not much in the way of cheap afghan-style stash. I suppose I could always buy some of those on sale ten-pound balls of el cheapo in various colors. That would be a good start.

did Jera tell you I don't pay tax at Hobby Lobby ? :) Red Heart is cheap, maybe we all need to do a cheap yarn run.

Sweetie, neither of us need that kind of encouragement.

(Tristan says now is the time to remind you that there is a "Do not encourage the Jera" rule to go with the "Do not encourage the Byron" rule.)
