Knitting Reports
Aug. 26th, 2005 06:36 amNot that I've done *that* much that merits reporting lately, but...
The Sock Report: Very little progress on T's kilt hose. Have put "quality time with kilt hose" on my calender for this weekend; plan to make a serious push on those. Am puttering on other things in the meantime.
Got the second purple feather and fan sock to nearly line up with the first, so I won't be ripping it out this time (the fourth or fifth start, I think). That would be the downside to self-striping yarns. Those are in my purse, and I expect I'll get some quality time with those today while I'm at work.
The UnSock Report: Made a fair bit of progress on Ene's scarf over the weekend. I'm not going to have enough of the 2-ply silk to finish it, so now I'm trying to decide what I want to supplement it with. I'd pulled a cotton out of the cabinet, and it looks ok, but the combination just doesn't speak to me. All else fails, I guess I'll get out another ball of the wool singles and just double that.
Picked up and restarted the fine Lily of the Valley Shawl, because (1) I REALLY want to finish and wear that thing, and (2) I needed the mental distraction of a complex project this week. Am 10 repeats along on the first side's edging (out of 33). It's not the easiest thing to knit on while I'm on the phone, and that's slowing me down a bit. (Note to self: consider getting a better headset for phone.)
