Haven't done one of these in a while...The Sock Report

Not that I haven't been working on socks lately, just been too lazy to type up a separate report.

Finished Socks: Finished By's kilt hose a couple of weeks ago, and there was great rejoicing. I will try to remind him to photograph them or toss them on the scanner this weekend, so I can post pics. They do look fine.

Proto-Socks (mine): Started another set of Aran sandal sox for myself yesterday, using the Rohan cable for the front, and some rope cables and moss st panels for the back. It's sort of a sampler pattern, because I'm trying out things I think I might want to use on T's kilt hose (which are still in the design stages). The leg is done on the first one, though, and part of the heel flap. Go me!

Proto-Socks (T's): Have the first toe done, plan to start some of the cabling on it tonight, now that I've got a better idea of what that Rohan cable will do to the fabric. The goal is to get about half the foot done, then hold T down long enough for a fitting.

UnSock Report: Nearly finished with this, as of last night. I made the front wider, and think it's rather flattering. Just need to do another foot or so of I-cord for the ties. There are miles and miles of I-cord in this pattern, btw, and deadly dull by the time you're halfway into it. I'm contempplating another one, using some sock yarn I dyed last year (shades of blue and purple), and maybe a feather and fan pattern, because (a) it was a fun knit, and (b) I'm rather enjoying wearing these girly things lately. Also contemplating designing a cami to match, but I'd need another cone of Zephyr for that. Although....it's not **that** expensive, for the yardage you get. Hmmmm.......
