treeskinToday's to-do list is simpler than yesterday:
water lots of trees (48 that *must* be done, plus any others I get to today)
knit on By's kilt hose
stay awake!
(No, Tristan, in case you're wondering, I did not go to bed after last night's phone call finished. I know, bad Treeskin, no cookie. You can scold me tonight.)
I'm waiting for the first tank to fill. Wasn't able to talk New Boss into keeping with his original plan of taking today off ("I have meetings next week, and I need to get things done in preparation"), but my being in the truck all day cuts down the level of exposure to bearable.
Was very proud of myself yesterday afternoon: spent 20 minutes pulling weeds out of a dry gravelly flowerbed, and didn't break a nail! This is a big deal, because the winter's ice melt damage to my fingernails has finally grown out, and I finally have long girly-girl nails. Which I do enjoy, for some odd reason. Maybe I'll dig out the nail polish tonight. Haven't gone that far into girl-drag in a while.
Tank's still not full. *sigh* Someday, they mght actually build that filling station for the water truck that was talked about three years ago. But for the moment, I'm stuck filling a 500-gall tank with a garden hose. Ah, well. I get paid by the hour.
