domestic progress
Mar. 8th, 2011 06:16 pm* folded the laundry that was in the dryer
* three loads through washer, two are dried and folded thus far
* put away as much laundry as active small child participation allowed
* cleaned up various feline-related messes in the back bathroom
* swept bathroom and changed litterboxes
* waded through a couple inches of very cold rainwater to haul all the "stinky" trash to the bin outside (kitchen, diaper pails, catboxes)
* got dishes caught up
All on a no-nap day, which means it's all taken twice as long. I've got to backtrack and set to rights everything the kids take apart while my attention is diverted.
In other news, I got away from the house *three times* this weekend. A couple hours at the libtary, using their bandwidth, all by myself. *swoon* An evening trip out with the kids for groceries. And a trip to Yarn Barn for a couple of knitting needles, and some quality time sans children, petting the yarn displays.
Am making progress on the pi shawl I started a few weeks ago. I'm about 30 rnds from the finish, maybe 8-10 hrs of knitting (each round is 576 stitches, in lace, which is slow going). Sometime soon I need to borrow most of D's floor, and block the several large lace pieces that are finished but for that. (No kids and fewer pets at her place to "help".)
