I have successfully pulled the sheets off the bed without disturbing the cat who was lounging there. Predictably, I am more impressed by this than the cat.

No visitors at the feeder yet today, but Fox is meatloafed on the other side of the window. I'm not expecting any birds until he gets bored and goes away.

Found a major error in assembling the blocks for the big afghan, which means I have to make two more 4-square blocks and redo three seams. I've put the thing down for a few days, until I'm less mad at it. Have been working instead on a sampler. And I may out that down to knock out a couple things I meant to make for D for Yule, but put aside because she's been out of state taking care of her mom for weeks.

Have various responsible-adult tasks lined up this weekend. Laundry today, and dishes, and bread to bake. Vacuuming and shampooing living room carpet sometime this weekend. And By wants to scrub his coffee pot, because he said this morning's coffee was "chewy".
