We found more contractor hijinx last night. When he was putting windows over the sliding door onto the deck, he managed to remove part of the support for the floor in there, so the floor is sagging under the door and letting in a draft. No clue what he *thought* he was doing, but it's added to mt list for whenever he does finally call/show up. Bastard.
By took today off while the weather is good, to get as much done as he can since Salvage Guy isn't doing the work he contracted for. This will make 2 days of lost work and pay to make up for Salvage Guy not doing the job. And you bet that's being added to my list of "things SG f**ked up*.
Finally heard from the person I'm doing doll knitting for, so I need to knock out at least one doll sweater by the swcond week of December. Maybe two, since she's kinda vague as to what she's after. Probably can't expect her to buy both, she's a student and short of funds, but I bet I can find someone else to buy the leftover. And the investment in materials for these is minor, so sitting on a couple pieces isn't a hardship.
The Sock Report: next to no progress on the mother-in-law socks, just couldn't focus on that pattern. Did make lots of headway on the Sooper Sekrit Sock Project last night. Those aren't so secret anymore. The ankle and heel looked rather small, so I had the recipient try them on to make sure they fit. And he approves of the pattern and color, so all is good. Am contemplating a pair from that pattern for myself later, even.
Also got most of a doll dress sewn, for the 3" jointed doll, out of a piece of 2"wide scalloped eyelet lace. Had I not stopped for embroidery, it would be done. But the embroidery was fun.
