various updates

I should have posted this sooner: we're on very limited internet (ie - what will load on my phone) until the beginning of next month. If there's something you want me or By to know before then, respond to this post or send an email. I'll be able to read and respond to comments on dreamwidth, lj doesn't load on the phone.

There are lots of little things going on that are post-worthy, but too much trouble to type on this durn thing. I'll try to remember the interesting ones when the internet access isn't so limited.
