sdemory, it's all your fault!

I HAD to go buy yarn last night. Just one skein, mind, but I just didn't have the right stuff on hand to do your hat. Since you hadn't given me preferences, you get a basic, thick, charcoal grey yarn, enough wool to be warm, enough acrylic to be machine washable, and a sedate, manly-man pattern. (By says he'd wear it, that ought to be good enough.) And, it's half done.

Cat, I guess you're not alone in the quality of your students, and their reading comprehension. I should probably send this to my mom, too. She'll have kittens. Then tell me all about how the federal testing and school policies have lead to this.
