Slackin' Saturday
Nov. 26th, 2005 11:36 amThanks to all who offered condolances and support earlier this week. It's much appreciated. We're still getting used to counting the cats as a set of five, rather than six, but we're managing. And thank you very much, Ranj, for the new icon.
We had a good turkey day with our family and friends. Too much food, as always...I think that's a Midwestern thing, or maybe a rural thing...where I was raised, plenty of food = good hospitality. Whereever it came from, our peeps were well fed, and we have leftovers to enjoy for days yet.
By had to work yesterday, and supposedly "just a couple of hours" today. We'll see about that one. But, working today gives him Monday off (or so the plan was this morning). I have to go in and water tomorrow, so about 3 hours, which I will get comp time for next week, because Donna's civilized that way. Tristan's working today (his usual), and I'm a little nervous about that. I'm really hoping the punk from two weeks ago doesn't show up again. **crosses fingers and thinks safe-work-day thoughts for the boyfriend**
No phone calls from either set of family the past couple of days, which is good. That means that Granny Phillips is still with us, and none of my relatives did anything (else) horrible during the holiday.
