General updates
Aug. 31st, 2005 06:48 amGlad it's only a 2-day week, because I'm running on about 4 hours of sleep again. My own fault, I know...stayed up reading. By's running on about 3 today, because he stayed up working on projects. (He does plan to get home earlier tonight, and spend more of the early evening being productive, so he can sleep tonight.)
Had a pleasant weekend. Didn't do a whole lot, but did enjoy the company and the down time. Will be busier this weekend. We'd originally planned to leave for Laid Back tomorrow night (hence my taking time off, and only working two days), but decided not to go this year. We're both too tired. So, stay home and nap Friday, go to concerts at KC Irish Fest Friday night, and be a bum Sat while the boys are working. Maybe go out and see folks at camp Sunday, maybe not. Haven't thought that far ahead yet. By's got to work Friday, because Robyn wants to be open for First Friday this month, but he's got the evening off. And he's working Sat afternoon, helping a friend out.
Am very glad I topped up the gas tank on the way home from watching kids Monday. It was $2.659 there Monday evening. The same station was $2.779 yesterday evening. And the cheapest price I saw on my way to work this morning was $2.859. Gak.
Turns out we won't be able to get that mattress/box springs set from Courtney...her phone's been acting up, and se was busy cleaning out the trailer Mon and Tues, and so she didn't get my message about coming to get it until two hours after she and her mom had drug the thing out into the field and burned it. She did say that watching it burn was very theraputic.
